Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to contact us.

1. Who we are

SEO Tribe ("we", "us", "our") is a digital marketing service, and is responsible for the personal data described on this page. You can reach us about your data at hello@seotribe.com.

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to enquiries and run the website.

  • Enquiry form data: name, email, company, website URL, service interest, budget, communication preference, and the message you send us. We collect this because you give it to us to ask about our services.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser user-agent and the time of your request. We use this for spam and abuse prevention.
  • Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregated information about how the site is used. It sets cookies only if you accept them in the cookie banner.

3. Why we collect it (legal basis)

  • Contract / pre-contract: to respond to your enquiry and provide our services (UK/EU GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Legitimate interests: to keep the website secure and free of spam, and to understand how visitors use the site (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Consent: for non-essential cookies and marketing communications (Art. 6(1)(a)).

4. How long we keep it

  • Enquiry data: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted unless you become a client.
  • Client data: for the duration of our engagement plus 7 years for tax/accounting purposes.
  • Technical logs: up to 30 days.

5. Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the suppliers we use to run the business. For example:

  • Cloudflare, which hosts this website and delivers enquiry notifications to us
  • Google, for our email (Google Workspace), spam protection on the contact form (reCAPTCHA) and analytics (Google Analytics)

Each supplier is bound by an appropriate data-processing agreement.

6. International transfers

Some of our suppliers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards (UK IDTA / EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

7. Your rights

Under UK and EU data-protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port or object to our processing of your data. To exercise any of these, email hello@seotribe.com. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).

8. Cookies

We use the minimum cookies needed to run the site. Google reCAPTCHA on the contact page may set its own cookies to tell people from bots. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them. You can change your consent at any time via the cookie banner.

9. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change. The "last updated" date at the top tells you when.
